Ar. Saloni Shah is Principal Partner at Essteam Design Services LLP and Founder of Oblique, Essteam’s art and creative design practice. An architect and urban planner from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, with studies at ETH Zurich, her early professional experience includes working with legendary architect Charles Correa and a formative stint at SAM Architect, Zurich and Environmental Planning Collaborative, Ahmedabad with Dr. Bimal Patel - experiences that shaped a design approach combining contextual sensitivity with a global perspective.

With over two decades of professional practice, Saloni works at the intersection of architecture, urban planning, interiors, art, graphics and product design. Her particular strengths lie in critical design thinking, art integration, customised product design, master planning and creating strong visual and spatial narratives. Her artworks reflect her interest in bringing together art, architecture and meaning.

Saloni is also Co-founder of NUOTERRA, a circular-design venture, and Design Head at Pushpam, where she leads the development of contemporary products created from upcycled sacred flower waste as well as various other kinds of waste materials.

Alongside practice, she has taught architecture since 2004, mentoring students through a process-driven and reflective approach to design. Her long association with Oasis extends this engagement into character development and self-leadership education.
